Biography
Andrew Pizzuto was born on the 26th May 1967. He received his education at St. Edward’s College. He was always one to excel in a wide spectrum of sports and outside activities. With ten years of Scouting and later Venture Scouts under his belt, he joined the St. John Rescue in 1992 at the age of 25.
He received all his training both locally and in Germany with the Cliff Rescue Division. In 1995, The Marquis Buttigieg de Piro as Corps Commander then picked on his budding organizing abilities and asked him to join the Headquarters Administration and Finance Section. In 1996 he became Corps Adjutant, a post he held till 2006. Andrew is particularly keen on Maltese British History and is constantly pushing forward for the restoration and maintenance of Fort Madalena – the St. John Rescue Corps Headquarters and Training School. He has been recently assigned as Principal Staff Officer of the Corps.
Andrew Pizzuto was admitted into the Most Venerable Order of St. John of Jerusalem as a Serving Brother in 2008.
